Eligibility Criteria for DU PG Admission 2024
1. Master of Arts (M.A.):
- Bachelor’s Degree with Major/Honours in the concerned subject with at least 45% marks or equivalent grade point.
- OR Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the subject applied for admission and 45% marks in aggregate for candidates of General Programme or equivalent grade point. Candidates who passed the qualifying examination in CBCS must have studied a minimum of 24 Credits in the subject applied for admission.
2. Master of Science (M.Sc.):
- Bachelor’s Degree with Major/Honours in the concerned subject with at least 45% marks or equivalent grade point.
- OR Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the subject applied for admission and 45% marks in aggregate for candidates of General Programme or equivalent grade point. Candidates who passed the qualifying examination in CBCS must have studied a minimum of 24 Credits in the subject applied for admission.
3. Master of Commerce (M.Com.):
- Bachelor’s Degree with Major/Speciality/Honours in the concerned subject with at least 45% marks or equivalent grade point.
- OR Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the subject applied for admission and 45% marks in aggregate for candidates of General Programme or equivalent grade point. Candidates who passed the qualifying examination in CBCS must have studied a minimum of 24 Credits in the subject applied for admission.
4. M.Sc. in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics
- Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University/Institution in Biological Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Veterinary Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Medical Sciences with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade point.
5. M.A. in Mass Communication
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 45% marks in Major/Honours or aggregate or equivalent grade point.
6. M.A. in Women’s Studies
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 45% marks in Major/Honours or aggregate or equivalent grade point.
7. M.A. in Applied Psychology
- Candidates having a Bachelor’s degree (excluding Fine Arts), including a Medical degree, and other Technical Graduates from Dibrugarh University or any other University recognized by the UGC with at least 45% marks in Major/Honours or 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade point.
8. Master of Education (M.Ed.)
- Obtained at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade in the following programmes:
- B.Ed.
- B.A. B.Ed., B.Sc. B.Ed. (Integrated)
- B.El.Ed
- D.El.Ed. with an undergraduate degree (with 50% marks in each)
9. Master of Computer Application (MCA)
- Program: 1+2 year Post Graduate Programme
- Eligibility:
- Passed B.C.A, B.Sc. (Computer Science), B.Sc. (IT), B.E. (CSE), B.Tech. (CSE), B.E. (IT), B.Tech. (IT) or equivalent Degree.
- OR Passed any Graduation Degree (e.g., B.E., B.Tech., B.Sc., B.Com., B.A., B. Voc.) preferably with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduation level, securing at least 50% marks (45% marks for reserved category candidates).
- Candidates appearing in the final examination of their Bachelor’s Degree must submit the total aggregate marks till the last cleared semester.
10. Master in Travel and Tourism Management (MTTM)
- Graduate (any branch/subject) except Fine Arts and Music of minimum three years duration from a recognized University/Institute, securing at least 50% marks (45% for reserved category candidates) in Major/aggregate. Candidates awaiting their final year results may also apply.

DU PG Admission: Application Fee
Candidates have to Pay Rs. 950/- as an entrance examination fee to complete their application for the Post Graduate Entrance Exam to be conducted by Dibrugarh University. Payment of the application fee is to be done through the online mode of payment.
