The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Assam, has recently released an official notification concerning FOR ADMISSION INTO 3-YEARS DIPLOMA IN ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY COURSES FOR THE SESSION-2024-25.

Online applications are invited from the candidates who are Permanent Resident of Assam and candidates applying under Central Govt. Employees quota for registration for admission into 3-years Diploma in Engineering and Technology Courses in State Government Polytechnics of Assam (except Modern office Management course of PCPS GP) for the session 2024-25.

DTE Polytechnic Admission Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must pass the H.S.L.C. or its equivalent examination in single sitting with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subjects. Candidates also must have passed individually in both Theory and Practical examinations in Mathematics and Science.

Admission Requirements for Polytechnic Admission 2024-25 in Assam

General & OBC/MOBC	40%	20 years 6 months
Schedule Caste	35%	23 years 6 months
Schedule Tribe	35%	23 years 6 months

The required minimum average percentage in Mathematics and Science varies by caste/category.
Maximum age limits are set as per the candidates’ caste/category as of December 31, 2024.

Application Fee

For Counseling & Admission Process for admission into the State Government Polytechnics of Assam: An application fee (non-refundable) of Rs.300/- (plus bank charges as applicable] is to be paid using payment link.

How To Apply For Assam Polytechnic Admission

Open your web browser and go to www.dte.assam.gov.in.
On the website, click on “Registration Link for Polytechnic Admission 2024”
Alternatively, directly open the link: Online Application Portal.
The online registration portal will open at 4:00 PM on 1st June 2024 and will remain open until 15th June 2024.
In that portal, you will get the option to register yourself.
Click “New Registration” button.
And Complete your registration by filling in your details like Full Name, Date of Birth, Email Address, Mobile Number, and creating a strong password.
Fill your all personal and educational details and upload necessary documents.
Complete the online application form with all required details.
Ensure all information is accurate and complete.
Then, make the application payment.
Review your application carefully, and submit it online before the deadline.

Note: No other mode of application will be accepted.

Required Docoments for Polytechnic Admission

Interested candidates are requested to keep ready the following documents:

Permanent residents certificate [P.R.C.],
Caste certificate for all candidates except Un-Reserved Category.
Non-creamy layer certificate – for OBC/MOBC and also six communities under ОВС/МОВС.
Grandsons/grand-daughters of freedom fighter: Certificate issued by from the Principal Private Secretary to the Chief Minister or from Home and Political Department and relationship certificate from concerned Deputy Commissioner.
Son/daughter of retired defense person: certificate from the Director, Rajyik Sainik Board, Assam.
Son/daughter of central government employees: P.R.C.- from the concerned state authority outside Assam and service certificate of father/mother from the concerned authority located in Assam.
Physically Handicapped (PH)/ Persons with Disabilities (PWD): Identity Card for differently abled issued by the Social Welfare Department, Assam.
Economically Weaker Sections [EWSs]: Valid E.W.S. Certificate.
Tuition Fee Waiver [TFW]: Annual Income Certificate issued by the authority not below the rank of Revenue Circle Officer.
Sports quota: Certificate from the Directorate of Sports and Youth Welfare, Assam.

Important Points For PAT 2024

1. Candidates will not be permitted to take admission without Permanent Resident Certificate [PRC) /Caste Certificate / for OBC (Non Creamy Layer Certificate)/valid EWS certificate. Therefore, the candidates are requested to keep the PRC and above mentioned documents ready well in advance for admission into the State Govt. Polytechnics of Assam.
